Nuclear-powered shipping is moving from vision to reality. Around the world, new technologies, projects and partnerships are taking shape. In Sweden, however, the debate has barely begun.
To address this, this seminar puts nuclear propulsion under the spotlight. International experts, researchers, shipowners, ports and technology developers will share their perspectives on the latest developments, emerging reactor concepts and the practical implications for commercial shipping. The programme also addresses port preparedness, defence planning, safety, feasibility and public acceptance.
The day concludes with two panel discussions addressing the key questions: Can nuclear power become a realistic solution for commercial shipping, and is Sweden prepared for what comes next?
